Summer is in less than a week, so why not share a photo from the days of summer?
There’s a temple circled by hundreds, if not thousands, of lotus plants in Tokyo’s Ueno Park. In the small pool in front, koi fish swim freely.
As a bonus, the Japanese word for lotus is renge while koi is, well, koi. Ren, though a different kanji than the one in renge, can be an alternative reading for the character for koi, though not the koi fish kanji. Ren and koi (恋) means love.
