Taken: 12 March 2017
This was one of the first photos I took on my DSLR. This was taken for a photography practice assignment, and it fit a lot of rules of photography like leading lines, depth-of-field, and framing.
I never found out why the flag was at half staff, but I’m sure there is a solemn reason for it.
I tried to recreate the shot two months ago for a similar assignment, but I couldn’t remember where I stood to get this shot. The flag wasn’t at half staff, and there was snow on the field. The sky was gray, a whole other mood compared to this sunny disposition.
