It is two years ago this month when I last travelled abroad during Spring Break.
The last place I visited in Belgium on my eight-hour spree was Waterloo, as in the “Battle of Waterloo” Waterloo. I walked up the stairs to the top of Lion’s Mound and captured a panorama of the view from the top, which I’ll probably schedule for the 20th.
After going there and to the museum, family friends treated us to a lunch at Le Wellington. It’s not really a cafe, the website doesn’t call it that. The ambience of the place does feel that of a cafe. I had spaghetti bolognaise and Belgian fries, with mayo of course.
