Today’s doodle is from a few days after I ended my freshman year of college.
I’ve wanted to paint the Jo Stockton in her dress from the floral photo shoot from Funny Face for a while, and I found time to finally do it. I also worked on painting the full scene with the flower shop in the background and flowers in the foreground, but it was a challenge for me. I mixed watercolor and acrylic paint on a canvas board — many apologies to the professional artists out there.
I’ve always been found of this dress. It’s probably my favorite out of all of the other Givenchy (or Duval) dresses used in this film. The dress’s colors make it feel inviting and cheerful, just like how spring is!
I doodled other dresses from the film, even digitizing them back in autumn. I’m doodling them again now on thin white postcards.
