It appears that Mário DionÃsio signed on the middle right side of this piece, so I can credit him. As it turns out, he was born in 1916 and died in 1993. I went a long time without knowing the background of who created this piece. I only learned about this on first day of the month. From what I am reading, the DionÃsio was commissioned to designed this, but the plan to actually create it did not go through.
It is a lovely piece to find going up the stairs in Lisbon. My family passed by it en route to the Elevador de Santa Justa.
