A year ago this week, I visited Paris. As I wrote on another post, I shelved a novel. The story had to do with catacombs and graveyards in Paris. This trip was both for fun and research, before the rest of 2020 hit us.
A year ago on this day, I visited Cimetière du Père Lachaise, home of a lot of cherished folks. One of those folks is the French novelist Colette. Also on this day in 1993, Audrey Hepburn passed away. Colette scouted Audrey, who was filming Montecarlo Baby (1952), for the 1951 play adaptation of Gigi. That led to her being scouted for Roman Holiday (1953), and the rest was history.
