This graphic was made for an article that rounded up small business recommendations from The Ticker’s staff. I went for something that captures the items produced by the respective shops we recommended as well as the doodles people would draw on the office whiteboard.
I came up with the idea for the graphic after visiting local businesses in small towns in upstate New York and Connecticut during the summer, and “Small Business Saturday” seemed like the perfect time to execute it. Unfortunately, the article coincided with what was dubbed as “round two of midterms,” so the turn out from the business section itself was lower than I hoped for. Still, those who contributed to this article helped to produce a wonderful piece.
