It’s rare for me to venture in Manhattan anywhere beyond Midtown. There’s a lot going on in Midtown. I’d say 2019 was a year well spent, traveling around the borough before you-know-what.
I’ve been to Greenwich Village before but for fish and chips. At this point, it was probably 15 years since the last time I’ve visited. I don’t recall seeing the NYU campus or Washington Square Park. I never saw the IFC movie house nor Stonewall Inn. June was the perfect time to finally visit.
I think this was the year the World Pride Parade happened in NYC. I was rarely home, or in the nation, in late June or July, so I missed it — I rarely go to parades anyway. At least I got a taste of what I always hear and read about.
